30 Before 30: Take a class in something that interests me

So, I think I've mentioned that since last summer I've been somewhat obsessed with tennis.  It started with Taylor and I discovering the court near our house, and realizing that tennis is a lot more fun than running when it's 90+ degrees out. So, we started taking Nashville to the court with I most days for an hour or so of tennis.  Taylor grew up playing tennis, so he is really good and he's a great teacher.  He taught me all of the basics last summer and we realized I have some natural skill in tennis.

So this fall, I signed up for a flex league, which is basically where you get paired online with opponents and you set up to play on your own time over the course of a week.  I love getting to know the other players and won a couple matches, but definitely still had a lot to learn.

So this spring, just when sitting around at home got to be just too much to bear, I signed up for a cardio tennis class.  Cardio tennis basically is just hitting a ton of balls over the course of an hour and running a ton in between.  The class was  weeks and ended this past Thursday.  I really enjoyed the class.  The other players were more experienced than me and the instructor was an amazing tennis player, so I learned a lot.  I also think I am going to sign up for some more clinics this summer/fall and maybe even an actual league next year.  I really love tennis and I think it's a hobby I'll have for years to come!
